One of my favourite things about being a parent is that I can do lots of things I loved to do as a kid & no one thinks I’m crazy. 😰
Alvin & I had so much fun on the slip & slide we almost didn’t notice that Ivy didn’t love it. We’re confident she will learn to love it though. Bring it on heat wave!
It’s 9pm Wednesday night. Ivy’s been sick (I mean puking, fever, diarrhoea sick) for 4 full days. I’ve been the same kind of sick minus the puking for 3 days. Just when Alvin & I are ready to turn in after a long day Ivy starts up crying. Alvin shortly calls for help. ..another poo-nami. Another change of sheets & settling her down for the night & I’m thinking: there’s a song for this. So when Alvin rolls into the sack I said “T. Swift is running through my head: ‘are we out of the woods. ..are we in the clear'”. Alvin snorts in response: “I was thinking Kesha”. I ask for a hint. He looks at me ” this place about to blow”.
There is nothing like a good bout of the giggles to haul me through the worst.
It’s Friday & Ivy’s still not quite turned around. ..but I feel like we’re close. Maybe that’s only because I’m feeling better, lol
Yup – life is good. We’re having a heat wave so it feels like summer is in full force already.
Last weekend we took Ivy to one of our fave workout spots & she charmed people at the park & on the stairs. I hope to make this a more regular event as summer progresses.
I also attended my girlfriend’s bridal shower. It turned out to be quite a special occasion. ..& here she is playing silly bridal shower games.
Instead of a Spring road trip my mom & I took Ivy out to Ukrainian village for a day trip. We enjoyed our time & will plan a weekend away either in Summer or Fall.
Lastly, a photo of one of the small things that makes me smile in my new office. I have no idea why it makes me smile. ..but it does every time. 😆
